Merry Christmas and HoHoHo (my daddy used to say that) from my little family to yours. It isn’t the holidays in our house until we are all together on my couch watching National Lampoon’s “Christmas Vacation”. “Is your house on fire, Clark?” You have your traditions; we have ours.
I saw this sweater online a couple of years ago and HAD to have it! It was originally sold by Katy Perry for H&M. Of course, there were none to be had in store or online. So I did what I always do when that happens; I searched for it on Ebay. BINGO! Now it is mine and I am a happy Elf. You can still find it on Ebay 2 years later. I get more compliments on this silly sweater than anything else that I own. It puts a smile on your face the minute you put it on. That’s how you should feel everyday about what you wear. I put a red silky blouse from Loft under it and slipped into a pair of black skinny jeans from Loft as well. No outfit is complete without a pair of boots. These are classic Frye riding boots in black leather.
Let me introduce to you my whole world, my heart, my boys Bryce (19) and Nathan (12). They are part of the reason I wanted to do this blog. Sometimes life takes twists and turns and you are suddenly cleaning houses instead of running a Fortune 500 Company. It isn’t the plan I had at 19 when I set off for NC State, but c’est la vie. I want to prove to my sons that their Mom can take a passion and a dream and turn it into a successful business. Yes, even at 51! It’s NEVER too late. I am going to make them as proud of me as I am of them.
Bryce loves to make people laugh, and this sweater does just that. Some folks may find it irreverent, but I like to think that Jesus has a sense of humor. Happy Birthday, Big Guy!
Join us back here Friday for more family fun!!! We would love to hear about some of your Christmas traditions! Please share in the comments below.
