Hey y’all, it’s Antoinette here!!! I tell ya, it can be hard to find something nice to say about January. January always finds me fat and broke. Well, January does have all the great sales (like the ones we highlighted last week). Oh, and it’s finally cold enough to wear my cozy sweaters. Now this last week in N.C. has been what I lovingly refer to as COLD AS BUTT! We even got a little snow here in Clayton. So it’s been perfect weather for my “real” winter clothes.
I found this beauty of a sweater when we were traveling in Ireland. Oooo I love how fancy that sounds!! No my family are not world travelers. We had the chance of a lifetime to visit Ireland back in 2016 with the Raleigh BoyChoir. While visiting the Aran Islands, I fell in love with this sweater by The Aran Sweater Market. I had no idea at the time that it could be purchased online (so dangerous!). It is a bit pricey but so worth every cotton pickin penny!! They have such beautiful items including hats, scarves, capes, shawls, etc. The quality is worth the cheddar.
My boots, oh my boots!! Oh how I love my boots! They make my heart go pitter patter. I stalked these sweet Sorels for months until they finally went on sale. I wet my pants a little when I opened the box and saw these babies! These boots definitely make a statement, and the statement is “Come at me Winter!”. They are good looking and waterproof, and they keep my piggies toasty. Plus they have fur! FUR PEOPLE!! I do have to say these are substantial boots that wear like snow boots, not like sneakers, if ya know what I mean.
My black leggings from Loft are nice and thick (like my thighs). They keep the jiggle out of my wiggle. These actually have a zip front with hook and bar closure and back zip pockets. This takes them a step above your typical leggings. These leggings rock!!
I want to give a shout out to my dear friend Lynn for taking these beautiful pictures. You’re the best!!
Ok one more little thing. We have had several friends say they have left us comments, but we have been unable to see them. I think we have that issue fixed now, and we would love to hear from you!!
We are so thankful for those that have been checking in with us. Please come back Wednesday to see Anjanette’s boot and Sweater creation.
