Shopping is Our Thang!!!

Growing up a Hall (our maiden name), the perfect Saturday consisted of us all going shopping with my Mama. We would head out to one of the local malls, shop, eat chicken salad sandwiches at the little sandwich shop at Belks, and shop some more. Lord how I miss those days. This past Saturday was as close to that as I can get now. I headed to the mall with both of my sisters for some good ole Hall shopping! It was awesome!! Today I’ll be sharing some of my good and not so good finds.

This was my first gem of the day. I’m not usually a big fan of off the shoulder tops, because they drive me insane trying to keep the shoulders in place. I mean every time you move those dang things have to be adjusted. Not so with this top. I lifted my arms, moved all around, and those bad boys stayed put!! Wooo Hooo!!! With this beautiful green color, this top was a must have for Spring. I found this top at Delta Belles Boutique at Raleigh’s Triangle Town Center. Similar tops can be found here and here.

I also spotted this groovy necklace while at the Boutique. It’s an awesome length and will add a a touch of cool to all my plain Tee shirts. It’s so much fun!!! Sorry I didn’t get a picture with it on. I promise I will wear it soon. Similar necklaces can be found here and here.

Next we headed on down to one of my all time favorite stores, Loft. It was a good sunshiny day, because they had 40% off all full-priced items! Oh it was on like Donkey Kong!!! We all started snatching and grabbing and headed to the dressing room. Now I’m always on the lookout for cute casual tops that have a little something extra. I was totally diggin the flouncy little sleeves on the first and second top. The print on the first top with the contrasting piping on the sleeve was just too good to pass up. Unfortunately I can’t find this top on Loft online. You’ll have to run to the store to get this beauty. Anjanette tried on these super cute white jeans first. When I saw that they ran in Petite and had that frayed hem I’m loving, I grabbed me a pair too. Of course the lighting in the dressing room shows all the lumps and bumps in my thighs (yes I’m sure it was the lighting). I decided to snag them anyway. And yes, I have white jeans, but not with that groovy hem. Mind ya business! Lol!

This was my last find of the day. We ended our day at Dillard’s shoe department. I LOVE that place!!! I was hoping to find a versatile pair of flats for Spring. Some that I could wear with anything and everything. I didn’t find those, but I did find these beautiful loafers on the clearance rack. They are by Naturalizer and feel like cushiony slippers! They are soooo freakin comfortable!! I’m still on the hunt for some Springy flats, but these were a Happy find for $32.00.

I Wish I could say this was a happy little find, but as you can see, this was a major fail! I have to have the shortest T-Rex arms ever put on a human. This top by Free People had the most beautiful, puffy sleeves. Oh how I wanted them to work on me. No such luck. And of course this was on major Sale at Dillard’s. Oh well, you can’t win them all.

You will definitely be seeing some of these items again in future posts. Hope you enjoyed shopping with me. Come back and go shopping with Anjanette on Wednesday.

  1. I love the green shirt for Madelyn and I like the red shirt for me. Can I just give you some money and have you pick up one of everything for me when you are out shopping?
