Pretty Pastels

Well we are anxiously waiting for Spring in my neck of the woods. It’s been some kind of chilly, but they are calling for warmer temps this week. Yee Ha!!! I can’t believe Easter is in less than a week. Dang, wasn’t it just Christmas?? Easter always makes me think of pastels, which just happens to be one of the big trends this Spring. While I LOVE pastels, I was shocked to discover I had very few in my closet. When did my whole wardrobe turn black, grey, and white??? Ugh! Looks like I need to go shopping again. Lol.

I think we all know by now how much I LOVE stripes!!! I saw this adorable little pastel blue striped number on the Shein website and knew I had to give it a try. Shein reminds me of Forever 21. The clothes are very reasonably priced, but the quality can be questionable. This sweet little top set me back about $15.00. It’s currently marked down to $10.00. Overall I’m very satisfied with it. The Peter Pan collar, ruffled sleeves and tie back definitely elevate the look of this top. The blue color is just beautiful, and, wait for it…… it’s striped!!! Shocking, right! Lol. Another thing worth mentioning is the sizing of clothes on this site. Unless you are a prepubescent girl that has yet to develop hips, boobs, a tummy, etc., ALWAYS order a size up!!!

I love pairing a super feminine top with my favorite distressed boyfriend jeans. I picked these boyfriend jeans up at Loft about 5 years ago. They are my weight gauging jeans. When they get tight in the tummy, it’s time to put some salad in my pie hole! I love these jeans for a number of reasons, but the reason that trumps all others is that they are a Size 2!!! I know they are super relaxed boyfriend jeans that are seriously vanity sized, but just let me have this.

These wedges have been my absolute favorite. The height is perfect, and they are unbelievably comfortable. You won’t believe it, but they are Crocs!! Raenette turned me onto these, and I’m so glad she did.

Ok so as most of you know, I had some skin cancer removed from my face this past week. Seeing that the only medical procedures I’ve ever had were my two C-sections, I was more than a little nervous about all this. I am NOT a doctor person at all! I’d like to say this wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, but I’d be lying! If the Nettes aren’t anything, we’re fo real. It sucked and my face looks like I was on the wrong side of an ass whoopin. On the positive side, my husband, my sisters and my buddies were there for me, and I am so very thankful!! My face is improving everyday and should be back to its regular ugly very soon. I have to say, this all made me think of those that face serious health issues every day. If you are blessed with good health, please don’t take it for granted. That could change at any time.

So glad you stopped by today. If you are enjoying our Blog, please share it with your friends!! The more the merrier!! See ya back here on Wednesday!
