Pretty Pastels Part 2

I cannot believe it’s Easter already!! Before you know it, we’ll be putting up Christmas trees and watching cheesy Hallmark Holiday Movies (I won’t but maybe ya’ll will).  Why should I even bother to put the boxes of decorations I still have in my spare room up in the attic?  I mean, I’ll just be dragging them back down in what will seem like 2 weeks. Right?

What says Easter and Spring more than pastels? Baby blue, soft pink, and baby chick yellow are so sweet.  We wore these colors as children when we got gussied up for church on Easter Sunday.  I loved to sit in the pew and watch the men come in wearing their blue seersucker suits, and the ladies with dresses in light pink, yellow and mint green.  We always had something new to wear for Easter.  It was our tradition.  I sure do miss those days. Man, I sound like an Old Timer.

I bought this beautiful peachy pink blouse last Spring from Loft (Similar Here). I couldn’t resist the beautiful print.  I also liked that it was a tunic and very forgiving of my trouble spots. The silky material feels great on and lays nicely. I wore it with my cute white jeans with the double row of fringe on the cuff (you know the ones).  To dress the look up, I decided to go with this cork wedge sandal. The outfit would look just as good with a pair of flats, if wedges aren’t your thing.

Since we are still having some crazy ass weather around here, a cardigan sweater is always good to have on hand.  This open front sweater stood out mainly for its color and the detail on the cuffs.  Aren’t the tie and ruffle adorable. I thought so anyway.  It is a nice weight for chillier Spring Days. Sadly, I got this last year, so it is no longer available on the Loft Site.  Don’t worry, I’ve got ya covered with similar ones here and here.  Now if you really really NEED something that you see on our blog, or anywhere else for that matter, you’ve got to be resourceful!  Check on either Ebay, Amazon, or Poshmark.  There are so many ways these days to track down exactly what you want. It’s the thrill of the hunt after all!!

Here’s wishing you and yours a Happy Happy Easter!!! Sure hoping it feels more Springy by then. Come see more beautiful pastels on Friday!
