Well, I hope everybody had a great 4th of July! My husband and I ventured out to the Dorothea Dix Park to check out their huge sunflower field. It was beautiful! And it was so good to see so many bees feasting on the flowers. I’m going to use the excuse that my husband and I were distracted by the beautiful flowers and bees as to why he didn’t get a full shot of some of my purses. I mean he was, after all, given strict instructions that we were focusing on shoes and purses. Lord, just can’t get him trained right. 😜 He did get a really good shot of the straps though. Lol!
Like my sisters, I prefer to carry a tote on a day-to-day basis. God forbid I should leave something at home and need it during the work week. That would cause unnecessary weeping and gnashing of teeth. My sisters gave me this pretty white leather bag (Similar Here) from Black Rivet last year (I think) for my birthday. I love the gold grommets at the top! It just sets it apart from your old ordinary white purse. Plus, it has plenty of room for all of my necessities (gum, Aleve, dental floss, chap stick, wallet, lipstick, etc), I like the fact that it has a middle compartment that zips so nobody’s thieving fingers can reach in and grab my valuables.
I found these brown sandals by Franco Sarto at my favorite shoe store, DSW. They are so comfy, and I love the wide straps. They have a gladiator-ish look to them without the leg lace ups. Plus, they go with everything!
Well, you’ve seen the sisters’ round purses, and I couldn’t let them one up me so, I had to show off mine too. I got this round beauty on Lucky.com.. I love the leather strap and the tassel with the seashells on it. Just puts me in a beachy frame of mind. Plus, it is very well made and sturdy. I love Lucky products! For those of you in NC, they have a Lucky Outlet in Mebane, NC. You can find some really good deals on all things Lucky there. Their jeans can’t be beat!
I’m still celebrating with some cute little red and white striped espadrilles from Ann Klein 2 (Similar found Here and Here). I have had these for a few years, but they are just one of those shoes that never goes out of style. I love to wear them with my jean dress or white shorts or skirt or a denim skirt.
When summer rolls around, I am always on the lookout for bright, colorful purses. This little purse by Steve Madden caught my eye the last time I was in my local TJMaxx. I love the Aztec/Mexican feel to it, and the colors are so bright and cheerful. It’s got a little detachable chain, so you can sling it over your shoulder or carry it like a clutch. How I wish I was sporting it on a white sandy beach in Cancun right about now. Ole’
Caution, more grommets up ahead! Does anybody remember the Bedazzler?? It was this little gadget that would let you add beads, jewels, sequins and anything else to your jeans or shirt until it was blinged out to the max. Then one day it was like everybody suddenly woke up and realized it was the tackiest stuff ever?!?! I hope that doesn’t happen to me when I’m looking back, and I see all these grommets on my purse and shoes. Lol! These cute black sandals are from the Vera Wang collection at Kohl’s. Personally, I love the grommets, and they’re the main reason I bought these sandals. If it has a stud or zipper or grommet it’s probably going to make it’s way into my closet. I need an industrial Bedazzler. Lol!
As always, thanks so much for stopping by. Next week we will be taking a little vacation. Don’t fret, we will return Monday July 16th with fresh, new posts. See ya soon!!!
