Coats, Wraps and More

I cannot tell you how much this old girl loves this cooler weather!!! It is so nice to be able to spend time outside without feeling sweat running down the crack of my ass.

There are many ways to look stylish and stay comfy cozy when temperatures get frigid.  Here are a few 0f my favorites.

Dress// Shawl// Boots

Whenever I wear a pretty dress, like this one from Free People, I hate covering it up with a coat.  My solution is to grab one of my beautifully colored pashmina shawls.  I have had this lovely blue one for many many years.  It is super soft and just right to drape over your shoulders on a chilly night.  I have even worn it to several Panther Football Games since it is just the right color.  If you find a pashmina or shawl in a hue that you love, grab it up and take it home (make sure you pay for it first😜).  You’ll be amazed how many times you reach for it.

Blouse// Cape// Leggings// Beads

They say not all super heroes wear capes.  I say, why the hell NOT?!!  They are so very easy to style and make any outfit look pulled together.  This black chenille beauty is from the Loft.  Julie, one of my sweet clients, gave it to me for my birthday last week, and I just love it.  Isn’t it sharp with my crisp white button down, houndstooth leggings, and red beads?  Funny story.  I had planned on wearing my favorite red Frye riding boots, but I forgot them at home.  That is why you don’t see my feet in most of my pictures this week. Lol

Blouse// Sweater// Cape// Jeans// Boots// Beads

My second cape is a classic plaid in black, red and camel.  I ordered this one from my high school friend Melissa’s Etsy shop, My Tew Girls Boutique.  It is beyond affordable and oh so versatile.  You can either throw one side over a shoulder, let both sides hang down in front, or wear it as a scarf tied around your neck.  I added it as an extra layer over my camel open front sweater from Loft and black coated jeans from Target.  Now, close your eyes. Go ahead, do it.  Imagine me in this outfit with my black Frye engineer boots.  It looks gooooddd, right?

I scored this last lovely coat (Similar HERE) while visiting Ireland this past spring.  It is more the weight of a blazer but the length of a car coat.  It is perfect for the many mild Fall/Winter days we have here in NC/SC.  But, the cornflower blue tweed is the reason I HAD to have it!  Wearing it on a gray day can only lift your spirits.

I want to give a shout out to my sweet boyfriend Lindsay who was my ever patient photographer this week.  He suggested this sweet pond for our photo shoot, and I think it was a great choice.  Love ya babe.

As always, we are so glad you took the time to stop by!  Check back in Friday for more snuggly goodness!
