Sooo guess who’s going to Ireland this week?!?! NOT ME!! Yes I was invited (really, I was!), but my family went two years ago. If I’m gonna drop that kinda green, it needs to be on a trip to a new destination. Plus I have a kid in college, and a list a mile long of things that need to be done to our house. I swear someone is gonna step out on our deck and fall straight through! So, while Anjanette and Raenette get to show you what they are packing for their big trip, I’m over here like “Here’s what I’ll be wearing to the grocery store this week.” Lol. But seriously, I decided to share some of my new favorite vacation outfits. I thought you might be tired of seeing this mug of mine, so I’m using flat lays today. ENJOY!!!
First up is this adorable Jumpsuit I found on my last shopping trip to Old Navy. Of course I managed to find the one dang thing NOT on sale in Old Navy. It’s still quite reasonably priced. It’s so cute and comfortable and can be dressed up or down. The fabric is nice and light, and the straps are adjustable. Apparently it needs to be ironed (which I didn’t do before taking these pics. Hey I had a baseball game to get to. Sorry Mama!) Here I’m pairing it with my new Sam Edelman sandals, a strand of blue beads, my standard chunky Fossil watch and my new Kendra Scott bracelet. You could add a jean jacket and some sassy wedges and be ready for a night out.
Next up is the cutest, most beautifully embroidered little dress from Free People. (I can’t get the dang thing to link! Ugh!). It kept popping up on my FB advertisements (Damn evil ads!), and I kept lusting over it. I finally pulled the trigger, and I’m soooo happy I did!!! It is the cutest little dress I have had in quite a while, and it’s UNDER $50!!!! WHAT?!?!?! The quality is excellent, especially for this price point. I kept it simple, because I didnt want anything competing with the beautiful embroidery. I simply added my braided leather sandals, my standard big gold hoops, my Fossil watch (again) and my groovy spiked bracelet. This dress is going to be awesome once I get a little tan going on. How perfect is this for a beach trip?
Eeek I’m soooo in love with the beautiful print on these shorts from Loft. Every Summer I try to purchase at least one pair of what I call statement shorts. Shorts that scream “Hey, look at me!!” These are those shorts! I mean seriously, they are beyond beautiful, and they are marked down to $25!!!! I am now able to mix stripes with prints like a boss, but it did take some practice, I ain’t gonna lie. The fine blue pinstripe in my blouse acts as a solid and picks up the blue in the print on the shorts. Add your favorite sandals, and you’re out the door. Simple and chic!
Ok I’m on a total Overall kick right now! I snagged me the cutest pair of full length overalls at Old Navy, and have been on the hunt for shortalls ever since. I have my dang FB ads to thank for these too. Those folks sure know what they’re doing!! Anyway, these cuties are from Gap, and I just love em! I would advise you to order up a size if you prefer not to sport a camel toe. You can put just about anything under your shortalls (But for God’s sake put something!). Today I chose this sweet polkadot number from, you guessed it, Loft. I should be part owner of that company by now. There’s my braided leather sandals again. They are the best! I can’t wait to see how many ways I can style these. Don’t tell my husband, but I have a striped pair on their way too! I need a serious intervention!
I hope you enjoyed seeing some of my favorite vacation pieces. Anjanette will be here Wednesday to show you what she’ll be packing for Ireland. Have a great week my friends!!!
